FRI 7 PM 		PRAISE AND WORSHIP COFFEE HOUSE WITH GREG AND MIKE
  Having Greg and Mike (a.k.a. "The Life or Death Worship Band") lead worship while we fellowship is awesome.  We've really appreciated their ministry and invite you to share this special time.  We not only enjoy their music, but have a chance to fellowship with believers from our congregation and others.  We always have GREAT snacks, desserts and coffee.  Admission is FREE.  A love offering will be received for Greg and Mike.

SUN 5:30 PM 		MAKE A WREATH FOR YOU HOME AND HELP DECORATE THE SANCTUARY.
  Wreath making has become a "looked forward to" annual event at Glenvale.  We invite you to join as we make wreaths for our homes, then proceed to the sanctuary to decorate the Christmas tree.  5:30 PM

FRI 7 PM  		ENOLA FIRST CHURCH OF GOD COFFEE HOUSE
  Once again the Enola First Church of God located at 9 Sherwood Dr, Enola is having a Coffee House.  Like Glenvale there is always good music, fellowship and food.  Their musical guests for this event will be :First Star", a contemporary praise group.  Admission is FREE.  A love offering will be received for "First Star".

SAT 8 AM  		FREE BREAKFAST!!!!
  If you are 18 years or older you are invited to our monthly breakfast.  The food is always great and it is FREE!!  No offering is received.  There is also a short devotional presented at each breakfast.  If you are not from Glenvale, please call Pastor Larry at 512-4560 or email him at pastor@glenvalecog.com to reserve your space.  If you are from Glenvale, there is a sign up sheet located on the bulletin board just outside the sanctuary doors. 
     

EVERY Sunday morning in December

"Christmas Around the World" Vacation Bible School program will be held every Sunday morning in December from 9-10:15 PM in the church basement. Children ages 2- grade 6 are invited on a trip around the World to learn the  story of the Magi visiting the Christ child, learn about Christmas customs from around the world, create gifts, and play games. See the display in the vestibule for more information and to sign up. Bring your friends!

Wednesday 7 PM 		Congregational Meeting
  There will be a congregational meeting on Wednesday December 3 @ 7 PM for the purpose of electing officers for the upcoming year.  If you qualify, according to the constitution and bylaws of Glenvale Church of God and wish to pursue an office,  please see Council President, Fred Roberts.  To vote you must be a member in good standing of the congregation of Glenvale Church of God.  If you are not a member and wish to become a member, please see Pastor Larry.

Wed 5 PM 		BREAKFAST WITH THE ANGELS
  On Saturday, December 6, 2008 the FOCOS Youth Group will be hosting a free breakfast with the angels at 9:00 am.  The breakfast is designed to get young children to understand that Christmas is all about the birth of Jesus and not just about getting gifts.  Children aged 2-6 are invited to come to Glenvale Church of God in Marysville accompanied by a parent or adult family member.  A donation of a non-perishable food item will be accepted at the opening of the program to encourage children to give before they get.  While at the program children and adults will make crafts together, listen to stories, sing songs, get their pictures taken with the angels and of course eat breakfast.  The meal will include pancakes, toast, cereal, fruit, milk and orange juice.  It will be a special time that children and adults will remember for a long time.  Bring your camera for some great pictures!  Call Angie Grove 582-3182 for questions.

Tues 6 PM 		CHRISTMAS CAROLING
  We are going to meet at the church at 6 PM and will either go together or split into groups.  We will then go to the houses of invalids and widows, etc. of the congregation or others that we know about.  This is not a structured event.  If you wish to go, simply show up with your voice ready.

Wed 5 - 6:30 PM 		SPAGHETTI DINNER
  We will be holding a spaghetti dinner to raise money for missions.  The dinner will be held in Glenvale's basement fellowship hall at 5 PM.  We will have spaghetti, salad, bread, coffee, drinks and of course dessert.  The cost is $6.00 for adults, $4.50 for children under 12.  Please contact Helen Warren for tickets and if you can help provide a dessert, please let her know.  Her telephone number is 957-3490.  Email is gramme123@aol.com  We invite you to stay for The Wehry's concert.

Wed 7 PM 		THE WEHRY FAMILY IN CONCERT
  There is NOTHING quite like family harmonies.  The Wehry's combine great harmonies and wonderful musicianship to make for an awesome concert.  We're looking forward to this Christmas celebration with them. A love offering will be received for The Wehrys

Fri & Sat 7 PM 		OUR SAVIOR IS BORN
  We welcome you come join us as we celebrate the birth of our Savior through a musical drama.  The Glenvale Players will present the play on both Friday and Saturday evenings to comfortably accommodate you.

Sunday 5:30 PM 		Silent Prayer and Worship
  On Sunday evening December 14th and 21st the sanctuary of Glenvale Church of God will be open for a time of silent prayer and worship.  The sanctuary will be lit by candlelight and soft music will be playing in the background.  We invite you to come in and SILENTLY pray and worship our Lord.  We ask that you remain quiet.  We will end at 6:30 PM in preparation for our 7 PM service.

  We invite you to join us in celebration of the birth of our Savior on Christmas Eve at 7 PM for an evening of Christmas music, communion a short message and a candle light service.
