Senior Life is a small group ministry to those 55 Plus. The cost to join Sr. Life is only $3.00 per year.  To join simply show up for a luncheon meeting or call Betty Saltzburg at 957-3656.

Some of our events are...

  • Covered dish luncheons the second Monday of each month, September through May, at noon, in the church basement.  Cost $1.00 plus covered dish with something good to eat in it. Next luncheon is March 14. Pastor Paul Albert will be demonstrating how he makes brooms.
     

  • Sr. Life Jamborees - We gather with seniors from other churches for a time of food, fellowship and entertainment by various artists.  The cost is only $5.00.  These events are held in the spring.  If you are a member of Sr. Life, you will receive a newsletter telling of the various Jamborees. These events are held each spring. This year’s dates and places are as follows:     April 8 - Hanover COG - Rommie Cinard;    April 15 - Chambersburg COG - Guilford Station Boys;       April 29 - Mt. Joy COG - Men of Mt. Joy Church;       May 6 - Martinsburg COG - God;s Singer Boys & Family;       May 13 - Mt. Pleasant COG - Sandy Glass;       May 20 - Penbrook COG - The Hales.  All registrations begin at 10:00 AM Glenvale will take a the church van to the different Jamborees so you won’t have to drive. We will leave the church at the appropriate time for each Jamboree. There will be more information coming at a later date. Make your plans now for the ones you would like to attend.

  •  Sr. Life Camp - each year at the end of summer we join together at Camp Yolijwa, Doubling Gap Center for a week of hooting, hollering, eating, sleeping, and just general fun.  We begin to advertise Sr. Life Camp in the early months of summer. This year the dates will be August 28 to September 2. The cost is $158.00. If you aren’t able to afford the whole price, there are scholarships available or the church can help you. See Luella and she can help you.  

  • Fall Festival of Music is generally held the first Friday in October each year.  This year it will be October 7.  It consists of TOP QUALITY entertainment, our camp's FAMOUS CHICKEN BBQ and a time of devotions and fellowship.
